General
info
What does a travel advisor do?
A travel advisor helps design, plan, and book personalized travel experiences. We handle research, logistics, reservations, and coordination so you can focus on enjoying your trip.
Why use a travel advisor instead of booking online?
Working with a travel advisor gives you expert guidance, curated recommendations, and support before and during your trip. We help you avoid common pitfalls, find experiences you might not discover on your own, and seamlessly bring together all the moving pieces of a trip.
Will I get the same prices I see online?
In many cases, our pricing is the same or lower than pricing you see online. Plus, we work with trusted travel partners and preferred programs that may include added perks like breakfast, resort credits, upgrades when available, or special amenities not always offered through standard booking channels. Another thing you won’t get by booking online is customized service every step of the way!
Do you charge planning fees?
Sometimes. For fully customized itineraries, last-minute travel, flights, and smaller bookings, a planning and/or booking fee may apply. For simpler bookings, there is often no planning or booking fees. During our consultation call, we will be fully transparent about any fees that would apply to your trip.
What types of trips do you specialize in?
We help plan a wide range of travel experiences including family trips, luxury vacations, cruises, honeymoons, Disney travel, group travel, and unique bucket-list journeys around the world. Learn more about us here.
Do you work with travelers from anywhere?
Most of our planning and communication is done virtually, so we work with travelers all over the United States.
How do I get started?
Simply reach out through the contact form and we’ll schedule a consultation. We’ll talk about your travel ideas, preferences, and timing, and start building your trip from there.
Planning & booking
How far in advance should I start planning my trip?
For the best availability and options, we recommend starting four to nine months in advance for most trips. Special destinations, holidays, and peak seasons often benefit from even earlier planning.
How does the planning process work?
It starts with a conversation about your travel goals, budget, and preferences. From there, we design your itinerary, provide options, refine them with your feedback, and handle all reservations and coordination.
What if I love planning my own trips?
That’s great too. Many of our travelers enjoy the dreaming and inspiration part of planning. We’re here to help refine the ideas, connect the dots, and make sure everything comes together smoothly.
How will I receive my itinerary?
All of our travelers receive a customized online travel portal and mobile app that provides easy access to your itinerary and travel documentation before and during travel. It keeps all of your confirmations, tickets, documents, and supplier contact info right at your fingertips. Plus, you can access the info without Wi-Fi while you’re traveling. Prefer a printed copy? Everything can easily be converted to a pdf document for printing.
Is the pricing on my itinerary final and guaranteed?
No. Travel pricing and availability can change frequently depending on demand and timing. Until reservations are booked and confirmed, pricing is always subject to change. We will always let you know if we see anything shift before we finalize a booking.
Can you help with trips I’ve already started planning?
Absolutely. Whether you need help refining an itinerary, booking certain pieces, or adding special experiences, we’re happy to jump in and help.
Do you book flights?
In most cases, we guide travelers in selecting the best flight options, but the actual booking is done directly by the traveler. This approach allows you to manage seat selections, airline notifications, and frequent flyer preferences more easily. It can also be especially helpful if there are schedule changes, flight delays, or cancellations on the day of travel. In some cases, including vacation packages, special itineraries, or if a client prefers our assistance, flights can be included in the booking and may incur an booking fee.
Can you help with excursions and activities?
Definitely. We love helping travelers discover unique experiences, from guided tours and food experiences to adventure activities and special reservations.
Can you help with restaurant reservations?
While we don’t typically make restaurant reservations on behalf of our travelers, we are happy to provide restaurant recommendations from our in-house culinary expert, Charlie, who was a chef in restaurants around the world for over a decade and holds a Grand Diplôme in Culinary Arts from Le Cordon Bleu.
Do I really need travel insurance?
Travel insurance is strongly recommended for most trips. It can help protect your investment if unexpected issues arise, such as trip cancellations, delays, medical emergencies, or lost luggage. We are happy to help you choose a policy that fits your trip and needs.
Can you help with passports, visas, or travel requirements?
Yes. We provide guidance on documentation requirements and important travel regulations for your destination.
